Initiatives & Collaborations

The National Human Services Assembly is all about collaboration – it's who we are and what we do. To foster shared learning and collaborative action, NHSA staffs four different initiatives through which leaders can work together.

  • Peer networks for senior professionals at our member organizations.
  • National Reframing Human Services Initiative — a national initiative to create a new narrative for human services and to encourage more vibrant civic participation and deepen support for effective programs.
  • The National Collaboration for Youth — one of the oldest and most established national coalitions on children and youth.
  • The National Collaboration for Families — one of the top resources in the country for learning about and advancing neighborhood-based, family-centered practices, programs, and policy, which contributes to family and economic and social empowerment.
  • Policy Initiatives are special policy and advocacy focused issues that we have chosen to devote special interest and efforts toward.
